De-commissioned ambulance donated to Lanier Technical College Paramedicine program

Hall County Fire Services has donated a decommissioned ambulance to Lanier Technical College for training purposes at the college.

Lanier Tech features a Paramedicine program, offering varying certifications, diplomas and degrees in the emergency healthcare field ranging from EMT-I/AEMT to paramedic. The ambulance will be used to help the students get hands-on training using the same equipment they will operate in the professional world.

And, current firefighters and paramedics will also benefit from the donation, as Interim Fire Chief Mark Arnold said it enhances the skills of their employees enrolled in the program who get realistic, scenario-based training.

"Partners like Hall County allow us to continue to provide our students with guaranteed career opportunities," said Lanier Technical College President Ray Perren.
