DeFoor immediately eligible at Georgia Tech after transfer

By The Associated Press

ATLANTA (AP) — Offensive lineman Jack DeFoor has been granted a waiver from the NCAA that makes him immediately eligible to play for Georgia Tech in 2018.

If not for the waiver, the transfer from Mississippi would have had to sit out 2018 and lose a season of eligibility. He enrolled at Georgia Tech in January and participated in spring practice.

DeFoor, from Calhoun, Georgia, will have three seasons of eligibility at Georgia Tech. He played in four games at Ole Miss in 2017.
