Andrew Patterson doubled up in the win column in Saturday’s Summit ET season opening race at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia.
The Inman, South Carolina speedster scored wins in both the Super Pro Bike and Street ET Bike divisions.
In the Super Pro Bike finals, Patterson defeated Jimmy Heisler. Patterson ran a 9.550 ET on his 9.43 dial in at 148.77 mph and a reaction of 0.072 in the ¼ mile race. Heisler ran a 10.693 ET off his dial in of 10.54 at 124.20 mph and a 0.056 reaction time.
In the Street ET Bike final, Patterson defeated Jordan Autrey with a 8.851 ET on his 8.83 dial in at 152.23 mph and a reaction time of 0.051. Autrey ran a 9.199 ET, a 1/1000 breakout off his dial in of 9.20 at 145.89 mph and a 0.035 reaction.
In other action, Joe Hadden piloted his Worx Ultra Dragster to the Super Pro win. Haddon defeated Paige Brown in the final with a 4.819 ET on his 4.80 dial in at 144.46 mph and with a better reaction of .017. Brown ran a 6.811 ET off her dial in of 6.84 at 100.85 mph and a 0.025 reaction time.
Chad Brewer ran a 6.875 on his 6.88 dial in in a double breakout run, at 98.01mph and a reaction time of 0.027 to take the Pro division win. Lewis ran a 6.491 ET off his dial in of 6.56 at 105.61 with a worse reaction of 0.134.
In the Sportsman final, Dickey Forrester defeated Ed Nalley, running dead on his dial in of 11.52 with an 11.523 ET at 115.61 mph and a 0.088 reaction. Nalley, on a break out run, ran an 11.66 ET off his 11.72 dial in at 111.58 mph and a reaction of 0.028.
Eight-year-old Malachi Edwards defeated 6-year-old Aaron Kennedy to take the 5-9 JR Dragster victory. Edwards ran a 12.115 ET on his 1202 dial in at 52.38 mph with a 0.047 reaction time. Kennedy ran a 14.286 ET off his dial in of 14.02 at 43.53 mph and a -0.107 foul reaction.
In the 10-12 JR Dragster final, 10-year-old Shannon Blanton defeated 10-year-old Stephen Skelton for the win. Blanton ran a break out of 8.841 ET on her 8.97 dial in at 72.55 mph and a 0.192 reaction time. Skelton left too soon with a red light of -0.152 but ran dead on with his 8.902 ET off his dial in of 8.90 at 73.88 mph.
In the finals for the 13-17 JR Dragster, 15-year-old Brent McKneely defeated Jacob Wilson. McKneely ran 1 over with a 7.912 ET off a 7.90 dial in at 81.98 mph and a reaction time of 0.018. Wilson ran a break out run of 7.938 ET with a dial in of 7.95 at 8086 mph and a 0.030 reaction.
