In only its third year of existence the Lanier Christian Academy baseball program placed two players in the Georgia Independent Christian Athletic Association All-Star Game.
Juniors Joseph Edwards and Parker Shope earned the honor for LCA on Saturday.
Edwards started the game at third base, while Shope came in to play both outfield and shortstop, as the Division II all-stars took a 7-6 win at Georgia State University Newton Campus field in Covington.
The GICAA selected 36 standouts, 18 from each Division I and II to participate in this year’s game.
