ATHENS — The Gainesville boys golf team fired a 294 to win the Athens Classic Saturday at the UGA Golf Course.
The tournament was sponsored by North Georgia Junior Golf.
The Red Elephants outpaced second place Peachtree Ridge, which shot a 305.
Ryan Hogan fired an even-par 71 to lead Gainesville. Hogan and Davis Weaver (73) were named to the All-Tournament team.
Other counting scores for the Red Elephants were AD Winston (74) and Zayne Hilderbrand (76).
