Special elections are to be held Tuesday to fill a handful of local offices at the municipal level, including the mayor's office in Dawsonville and several seats on city and town councils.

CLERMONT
Voters in the North Hall town will select a representative for Ward 1 on the Clermont Town Council, a term that runs through Dec. 31, 2019. Robin Brown vacated the seat back in December.

The election will be held at Clermont Town Hall, located at 109 King Street in Clermont. Polls are open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
DAWSONVILLE
Voters in Dawsonville will elect the town's next mayor, to serve the remainder of impeached-former-mayor James Grogan's term. In an interesting twist, Grogan is re-running for the office from which he was impeached.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. for the special election. All city voters will report to the Dawsonville precinct: the Dawson County Board of Elections Office, located at 96 Academy Avenue in Dawsonville.
HOSCHTON
Hoschton residents will be choosing between two women to take over the remainder of former councilman Scott Butler's unexpired term on the Hoschton City Council, which runs through December 2019. Butler reportedly resigned due to conflicts with his business travel schedule.
