Tennis: Gainesville girls overpower Dacula

The Gainesville girls tennis team won a decisive, 4-1 victory over Dacula on Wednesday in their second region match of the season 4-1.  

Lady Red Elephants' winners included Madi Kiser at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-2, and Grace O’Keefe at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-1.

Meanwhile, Paige Patterson and Hannah Williams won at No. 1 doubles, 6-1, 6-2, while No. 2 doubles Savanah Brown and Hannah Wagner went to a third set before winning 4-6, 6-1, 6-3.

Gainesville travels to Loganville on Thursday.

The Red Elephants (3-1, 2-0 Region 8-AAAAAA) stayed undefeated in Region 8-AAAAAA courtesy a lopsided victory at Dacula on Wednesday.

Dylan Pineda, Joseph Diaz, and Ben Burns each won at singles for Gainesville.

Max Wuest and Caleb Anderson also won at No. 1 doubles and Michael Head and Charlie Burns won at No. 2 doubles.
