FLOWERY BRANCH — The Falcons have agreed to terms on a three-year contract extension with kicker Matt Bryant.

In 2017, the 16-year veteran converted 34 of his 39 field goal attempts and all 35 of his extra points. He scored 137 points, which was the fourth most in a single-season in franchise history. He also connected on eight of his nine kicks from 50+ yards, including a season-best 57-yard kick.

Bryant has scored a franchise record 1,029 points since joining the Falcons in 2009, which ranks third in the NFL over that span. In 2016, he was named to his first career Pro Bowl after converting 34-of-37 field goal attempts, including a 59-yard long field goal, while adding 56 extra points. The former Baylor Bear lead the league in scoring that season with 158 points, setting a new franchise record.

Bryant has made 85.78-percent of his field goals throughout his career, which is ninth on the NFL’s all-time list. His 368 made field goals are fourth among active kickers.
