ATHENS — Flowery Branch had to work for it, but the Falcons pushed their way into the Region 8-AAAAA semifinals courtesy a 50-47 win over Loganville in Athens.
The Branch also secured its second straight state playoff berth with the victory.
Myles Janess paced the Falcons () with 19 points, while Justin Quick added 11 points.
Flowery Branch will take on Buford at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the 8-AAAAA semifinals at Johnson High in Oakwood.
