Following reports of mail theft in the Hoschton area, Jackson County authorities caught up with the duo they believe is responsible for the crimes.
Authorities identified the suspects as Tiffany Alexandria Allen, 32, and Antonio Santez Sanders, 22.
"(Their) vehicle was stopped and the investigation led to the discovery of numerous fraudulent checks, stolen identities, and evidence of identity theft from numerous victims," Jackson County Sheriff Janis Mangum said.
Allen and Sanders are each charges with six counts of theft by taking, 16 counts of theft by receiving and 15 counts of identity fraud. Each suspect is also charged with 3rd degree forgery and giving a false name and date of birth to law enforcement.
The arrests occurred on Monday, according to Mangum.
