A portion of Athens Street in Gainesville will be closed Wednesday at the request of Fieldale Farms.
The poultry company's application for a temporary street closure lists "crane work" as the reason, specifically "(to) set equipment off roof."
The section of street that will be closed is between Harrison Square and Monroe Drive. It is to be closed at 8:00 a.m. and reopened by 4:00 p.m., according to the document.
City officials say Old Athens Road should be used as an alternate while Athens Street is closed.
