*Kurt H. Sutton brings the play "Mark Twain and Mr. Clemens, Tonight!" to the Sautee Nacoochee Cultural Center for two shows beginning Saturday, January 19 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, January 20 at 2:00 p.m.   Sutton's play features tall tales, stories and music from Mark Twain "the way Clemens would have played him today."  Center Theatre seating is reserved and tickets are available online at www.snca.org or call 706-878-3300,

*During a recent meeting, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners recognized Forsyth County Senior Services Specialist Jimmy Yarbrough upon his retirement. Yarbrough has served the Senior Services Department for 14 years. 

*White County Animal Control is hosting "Project Catsnip" on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. This is a low-cost spay/neuter clinic for cats. For more information and to register go to:  www.projectcatsnip.com.

*Tanger Outlets in Commerce recently showed its thanks and support to several area public safety agencies.  As part of their ‘Random Acts of Kindness’ campaign, Tanger officials made separate $500 donations to the Banks County Sheriff’s Department, the Banks County Fire Department, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, Jackson County Rescue-911 and the Maysville Fire Department.  

*Barrow County Emergency Services recently hosted graduation ceremonies for its most recent recruit class.  Completing the ten-week course were Cole Burchardt, Anisa Gannon, Caleb Lee, Josh Meek and Mitchell Rogers.
