Bridge preservation project means lane closures in Hall County

Drivers who pass over the Chattahoochee River bridge on Hwy 53 in Hall County should expect intermittent lane closures for the next month.
 
Georgia DOT spokeswoman Katie Strickland says work crews are repainting the steel and replacing the joints on the bridge.
 
Single lane closures will run from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and the work should be finished by January, weather permitting.
