If you've ever thought about canceling Christmas and going on vacation instead, you're included in the 66% of parents surveyed by Traflagar.
According to the vacation tour company's blog, 2,500 parents answered the poll and 78% said they'd prefer to spend money on a vacation instead of gifts.
Parents admitted they plan to spend between $800 and $1,200 on each child this year with more than half respondents saying they expected to spend up to $5,000.
As the site points out, that's more than the cost for a week-long guided European vacation for a family of four.
