Rabun County Emergency Management Agency/Search and Rescue announces that three warming centers will open in the county Monday afternoon for those who need them.
All three Good Samaritan warming stations will open at 2 p.m., and those going to one of the locations should bring their own supplies and personal items.
Locations opening include:
- Clayton Baptist Church Ministry Activities Center, 87 South Church St., Clayton;
- Dillard United Methodist Church, 5 Betty Whitecloud St., Dillard; and
- Mountain City United Methodist Church, 68 Black Rock Road, Mountain City.
More than 4,000 people in Rabun County still don't have power, though utility providers and contract crews are working on restoration efforts.
