Oakwood woman killed in Tuesday crash, three others injured

A three-vehicle crash in the Oakwood area Tuesday evening left a woman dead and two adults and an infant injured.

Angela Riseden, 22, of Oakwood was headed east on Valley Green Drive, trying to turn left onto Atlanta Highway (Ga. 13), when she was hit by an on-coming Ford Ranger, which had the right of way, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

Riseden died from injuries sustained in the wreck. The driver of the Ranger, Brittany Dale, 30, of Gainesville, lost control of the vehicle at that point, and hit head-on a Nissan Versa in the on-coming lanes.

Dale and her infant passenger, Lucis Holloway, along with the Versa driver, Kaitlin Loggins, 23, of Flowery Branch, were all taken to various hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Dale was not at fault in the wreck, but was charged with DUI, child endangerment and violation of the Georgia Controlled Substance Act upon further investigation.

The crash happened around 6:30 p.m.
