A man is dead in East Hall County after a SWAT standoff and officer involved shooting.
The sheriff's office said around 5:00 PM Saturday, deputies responded to reports of a man pointing a handgun at neighbors and when they arrived they say the man barricaded himself inside his home on Truelove Road.
They added just before Midnight the man emerged and fired shots at deputies, who returned fire killing the man.
Names have not been released.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting the investigation.
