GAINESVILLE — The Lakeview Academy boys basketball team stormed to a 64-47 win over Riverside Military in Gainesville on Tuesday.
Blake McIntyre paced the Lions (18-6, 15-0 Region 8-A) with 22 points, while Drew Cottrell poured in 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Evan Pitts and Alec Bornhorst each snagged 10 rebounds apiece in the win, while Jack Blackburn provided 6 assists.
Lakeview will play host to Chattanooga Christian at 7 p.m. Friday on senior night in Gainesville.

KJ Buffen put up 14 points as the Red Elephants (16-6, 9-0 Region 8-AAAAAA) won their 14th straight contest on Tuesday in Winder.
Bailey Minor also chipped in with 11 points for Gainesville, while Brent Kelly scored 10.
The Red Elephants play host to Apalachee on Friday.

Patsheko Lutumba and Justin Quick scored 14 apiece for the Branch, while Myles Janess added 11.

Nick Lyles led a balanced scoring effort for the War Eagles, notching 11 points in the win on Tuesday in Oakwood.

The Panthers clinched the No. 4 seed in the upcoming Region 7-AAA tournament with the win on Tuesday in Dahlonega.
Union County scored 24 second-quarter points for a 38-26 halftime lead.
Pierson Allison led the Panthers (16-7, 5-6 Region 7-AAA) with 16 points, while Sawyer Drake added 13, Patrick Baggett 11 and Candler Colwell 10.
Austin Black and Patrick Jackson each scored 13 for the Indians (3-19, 2-9).
