HARTWELL — Georgia State Patrol Post 52 in Hartwell Friday afternoon released preliminary details of a wreck involving a pedestrian in the early-morning hours of Friday, Jan. 19, in Elbert County.
The wreck happened just after 5:30 a.m. in the area of West Tate Street and Brewers Bridge Road in Elberton, according to Post 52. The adult male who was struck was walking along the road. He was injured and was taken by Elbert County EMS ambulance to Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens for treatment.
Post 52 had not released the man’s name late Friday.
