Mt. Airy issues Boil Water Advisory after Tuesday line break

MT. AIRY — Any Mt. Airy water customers who have experienced low or no water pressure since 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, should boil their water, said City Manager Tim Jarrell.

Crews were working Tuesday night to repair a waterline break on Lakeside Circle. The break resulted in the issuance of a Boil Water Advisory for Town of Mt. Airy customers.

Any Mt. Airy Water System customers affected by low water pressure or a service outage should bring all water to be used for consumption to a rolling boil for three minutes until further notice.

The town will update media outlets when the Boil Water Advisory is lifted.
