Oakwood Police look for leads in Hardees robbery

Oakwood Police continue to search for leads in the armed robbery of a fast food restaurant near Interstate 985.

Investigator Todd Templeton said the manager of the Hardees on Oakwood Road had closed and was leaving when a gunman with his face covered approached.

"He pointed the pistol at her, took her back inside the business where he forced her to open the safe and took an undisclosed amount of money," Templeton said.

He said the female victim wasn't hurt, but was shaken by the ordeal.

Police don't know if the suspect made off on foot or in a vehicle.

"We are working to view surveillance video from neighboring businesses in an effort to determine that," Templeton said.

Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta is offering up to a $2,000 reward for information in the case.

The robbery happened around 10:30 p.m. this past Saturday.
