GAINESVILLE — The North Hall boys basketball team pulled ahead early and held on for a 44-38 win over Banks County on Saturday in Gainesville.
The Trojans (6-9) took a 14-7 advantage after the first quarter and held a 30-27 lead headed into the fourth.
Noah Holman scored a game-high 17 points for North Hall, while Luke Gunter added 9.
Bosko Norman paced Banks County with 11 points, 1 steal, 2 assists and 1 block. Dylan Orr added 8 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 assists and 10 blocks, and Gabe Martin had 7 points, 5 rebounds and 1 steal.
The Leopards (13-3) will travel to face Rabun County on Tuesday.

Adam Cottrell scored 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to lead the Lions to the win on Saturday in Region 8-A play. Blake McIntyre also scored 17 points, while
Jack Blackburn had 10 assists and 6 steals for Lakeview. Arturo Varela added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the win.
The Lions (8-5, 5-0 Region 8-A) travel to face Commerce High School at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Falcons fell in a non-region contest on Saturday.
Blake Coxworth scored 15 points to pace Flowery Branch, while DJ Brown added 12 points.
