Three people who prosecutors said lured sex workers to work in a brothel in Gwinnett County have been sentenced to federal prison.
Court records show that Xiaohong Huang, Chan Kong Chow and Biyun Gong, all from China, were sentenced Friday.
Federal prosecutors said Tuesday that Huang, also known as Michelle, operated a brothel at an apartment complex in Doraville from December 2005 through May 2017. Chow and Gong managed the day-to-day operations.
Prosecutors say the three lured women of Asian descent from across the U.S. to work as prostitutes.
They pleaded guilty in July to conspiring to operate an interstate prostitution scheme involving money laundering.
Huang was sentenced to serve two years and nine months. Chow got one year and nine months, and Gong got one year and three months.
