North Forsyth rolls to third straight win

By AccessWDUN

JASPER — North Forsyth scored 30 unanswered points to break a second quarter tie en route to a 58-35 victory over Pickens Friday night.

The Raiders (3-1) led 21-7 after the first quarter but found themselves tied at 28-28 late in the first half before Arthur Boyzo booted a field goal to give hem a 31-28 halftime lead.

That started an avalanche as North Forsyth, behind quarterback Ben Bales and running back Bryson Trigg, scored the first 20 points of the second half to pull away for a 58-28 lead. The Dragons (2-2) scored late for the final score.

Trigg finished with 242 yards and four touchdowns on 20 carries for North Forsyth. Bales was 22-of-33 for 328 yards and four touchdowns for the Raiders.

Cedric Touchstone had a huge game with 9 receptions for 152 yards and two touchdowns Tristan Howard and Charlie Aiken each had a touchdown catch for North Forsyth.

Boyzo's field goal and five extra points pushed over the 100-point mark in his career, the first for a North Forsyth kicker in program history.

The Raiders, who have won three straight, will play host to Woodstock next week before a bye week leading into Region 5-AAAAAAA play.
