Fire destroys home in north Hall County

By Scott Kimbler Reporter

A fire in northeast Hall County Wednesday night left a house and family devastated.

Hall County Fire Captain Zachary Brackett said the fire in the 3,800 block of Clubhouse Drive off of Cagle Road started in the basement of the 1,500 square foot home.

Brackett said the fire spread quickly, and firefighters used a defensive attack to keep the fire from spreading to adjacent properties.

He said a family of five was home at the time, but no one was injured. The family is displaced, and the home is a total loss.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
