Howard, Gibson score Late Model wins at Anderson

Colby Howard and Trey Gibson split a pair of Late Model Stock features on Friday night at Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, South Carolina.

Howard took the win in the first feature, while Gibson scored the victory in the second event.

In the first feature, Howard held off R.A. Brown to record the victory. Gibson finished in third, with Taylor Griffith in fourth and Marty Ward in fifth.

Luke Sorrow, Neil Meredith, Archie Adams, Holden Kurth and Omar Juardo rounded out the top ten.

In the second feature, Gibson edged out division points leader David Roberts to score the win. Archie Adams came home in third, followed by Brown in fourth and Sorrow in fifth.

Sam Mayer, Colby Howard, Ward, Kurth and Juardo rounded out the top ten finishers.

Also running twin features was the BM Modifieds division. Chuck Mitchell took the victory in the first race, with Will Ragsdale finishing in second, Austin Northcutt in third, Brandon Segars in fourth and Maxx Porter in fifth.

Ragsdale improved by one spot in the second feature to score the win, with Mitchell in second, Segars in third, Northcutt in fourth and Jamie Winslett in fifth.

In other action, Steve Carver recorded the victory in the Super Limited feature. Shaun Mize finished in second, with Philip Peters in third, Jonathon Fleming in fourth and Smoke Shiflett in fifth.

Jeffrey Kummer was the winner in the Mini-Stock feature, with David Darnell, Chad Campbell, Bryan Mitchell and Ben Kay rounding out the top five.

Chris Whitfield took home top honors in the Renegade feature. Shawn Campbell was second, followed by Jonathan Ragsdale in third, Billy Brown in fourth and David Whitaker in fifth.

Sam Mayer was scored the victory in the U.S. Legends feature, with Jusitn Ashley second, William Plemons III third, Lee Jordan fourth and Bryson Ruff fifth.

Chris Harvell topped the Front Wheel Drive field to take the feature win. Tommy Davis finished in second, followed by Scott Parker in third, Casey Burkett in fourth and Chris Burkett in fifth.
