By AccessWDUN staff

In the second installment of Prep Talk with AccessWDUN sports editor Morgan Lee and Katie B., we take a look back at the first games of the 2017 high school football season; among the topics discussed:

  • How do Habersham and East Hall get their defenses right?
  • Gainesville's shutout of West Hall more about the Big Red defense or the Spartans offense trying to find its identity
  • Chestatee, White County and Fannin County's surprise defensive efforts
  • How a renewed focus on passing effectively showed up for Buford and Jefferson
  • Habersham's No. 4 AJ Curry a raw version of a former No. 4 from Gainesville High
  • Great quarterbacks aren't in short supply in the area, but it was team's running games that showed out in Week 0
