Gainesville woman faces over 20 counts of forgery for fake prescriptions

A Gainesville woman was arrested Friday after drug agents determined she was writing prescriptions for narcotics with a stolen doctor's prescription pad.

Lt. Don Sclaia with the Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad said Hillary Page Camp, 35, was facing multiple counts of forgery.

"We were finally able to obtain on August 11 of this year, warrants for forgery in the second degree, 19 counts; forgery first degree, three counts; and obtaining a controlled substance by forgery, five counts," Scalia said.

Scalia said they believe Camp was writing the fake prescriptions between November 22, 2016 and July 19, 2017.

"They were for various narcotics, the majority of it was hydrocodone, oxycodone and tramadol."

MANS worked with the Gainesville Police Department on the case and Scalia said more charges could be coming forth out of Gainesville.
