A former Union County middle school teacher has been arrested for having alleged sexual contact with a student in 2013.
Shawnetta D. Reece, 40, of Blairsville was allegedly involved with a 15-year-old student who was moving from eighth to ninth grade at the time, according to a news release issued Monday afternoon by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Reece is charged with child molestation and sexual assault by persons with supervisory or disciplinary authority.
Reece was a physical education teacher.
