VIDEO: Driver allegedly attempts doughnut, hits building in Winder

The driver who allegedly attempted a doughnut in a Winder liquor store parking lot and hit the building this week turned himself in to face charges Wednesday, police said.

Timothy Bray, 36, of Winder, turned himself in at the Winder Police Department and was transferred to the Barrow County Jail.  He was issued a $2,606 bond, according to Winder Police Captain Chris Cooper.

Bray is suspected of attempting the doughnut in a Chevrolet Aveo car in the parking lot of Royal Blue Package store on N. Broad Street.

"The driver lost control and hit the building and a tree then fled the scene," Cooper wrote in a news release.

The incident happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.

"On (Tuesday) the video was placed on the Winder Police Facebook page and, through our investigation during the day, a suspect was identified and warrants were taken for criminal trespass and reckless driving," Cooper added.

Bray awaits a court date later this year, according to the release.
