Hall County authorities said the victim of a shooting Wednesday on Pittman Street in Gainesville is out of surgery and in stable condition.
In a press release, Sheriff's Lt. Scott Ware said witnesses who were walking with the victim prior to the shooting were being followed by a black, four door sedan that was occupied by multiple Hispanic males.
The vehicle many have been a Nissan or Volkswagen. Ware said they no longer believe the gray Kia Soul described in previous updates in involved in the incident.
The witnesses said they and the occupants of the black sedan began fighting physically on Pittman Street when one of the suspects produced a silver handgun and shot the victim one time.
