Three men face charges in separate marijuana grow operations

Three North Georgia men are facing charges after drug agents found $53,000 worth of marijuana at each one's residences in three separate investigations.
 
In Habersham County, sheriff's deputies located marijuana plants growing at the residences of Jonathan Clark, 38, of Clarkesville and Jake Pritchett, 26, of Clarkesville on Tuesday.
 
According to a press release from the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office Special Agent in Charge Mitchell Posey, authorities found nine marijuana plants growing outside and 30 marijuana plants growing inside Clark's Clarkesville residence. Clark absconded from the home at 110 Robertson Look Road. He is wanted on charges of manufacturing marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
 
At a home on 674 Bear Gap Road, also in Clarkesville, Posey said in the release sheriff's deputies found five marijuana plants during a search of Pritchett's home. Pritchett was arrested for manufacturing marijuana and was taken to the Habersham County Detention Center.
 
In Rabun County, sheriff's deputies located nine marijuana plants at 252 Luther Owens Road in Clayton on Tuesday. Ralph Owens, 57, faces a manufacturing marijuana charge and was taken to the Rabun County Detention Center, Posey said in the release.
 
Posey said the street value of the marijuana combined was $53,000
 
The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office, the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office and the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office assisted the Governor’s Task Force/Drug Suppression in the searches.
