Tommy Davis takes Front Wheel Frenzy win at Anderson

By Brandon Reed Reporter

At the end of Friday Night’s Front Wheel Frenzy feature at Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, South Carolina, Tommy Davis thought he’d have to settle for a second place result.

Chris Harvell had been flagged as the winner, but after his car failed to clear post-race tech inspection, Davis was declared the winner, giving him a $750 payday.

It marked the fourth feature win of the season for the Pickens, South Carolina native, who now sits atop the division points standings by 26 markers over Scott Parker, who finished sixth on Friday night.

Hunter Davis was moved to second place, with Carey Smith in third, Michael Posey in fourth and Chris Burkett in fifth.

Parker, Robert Hall, Travis Barbare, Casey Burkett, and Allen Porter rounded out the top ten.

In other action, Ricky Kelley held off Shaun Mize to win the Super Limited feature, followed by Steve Carver in third, Philip Peters in fourth and Jonathon Fleming in fifth.

Chuck Mitchell took the victory in the BM Modifieds feature, with Will Ragsdale second, Austin Northcutt third, Maxx Porter fourth and Brandon Segars fifth.

Ryan Howard was the winner in the Mini-Stock feature. Jeffrey Kummer finished second, with David Darnell third, Chad Campbell fourth and Ben Kay fifth.

Billy Brown was first across the line to win the Renegades feature, with Chad Watt in second, Troy Carnes third, Shane Brown fourth and Jonathan Ragsdale fifth.

Justin Ashley took the win in the US Legends feature, with Lee Jordan, Gracie Trotter, Aidan Landauer and Karl Moberg rounding out the top five.

Anderson Motor Speedway returns to action on Friday, July 28 with a pair of 40 lap Late Model Stock features headlining the night’s action, along with racing in the Renegades, Super Limiteds, Mini-Stock and US Legend divisions.
