SNELLVILLE, Ga. (AP) Police say a 10-year-old boy found his mother's body inside a home in Gwinnett County, and they are searching for the woman's husband in connection with her shooting death.
Gwinnett County police spokeswoman Cpl. Michele Pihera says the boy found his mother's body at the Snellville home about midnight Thursday. She says a preliminary investigation indicates a domestic dispute.
Pihera says the boy saw his stepfather leave the house around 9 p.m., but didn't notice anything suspicious.
Police said this wasn't the first reported domestic dispute at the home. Pihera says the victim and her husband recently married, but have been together for several years.
Police have not released her name.
The husband is believed to be driving a 2001 Ford Expedition with the Georgia tag RGJ 8749.
