Piedmont College will add 172 new members to its alumni rolls with a commencement ceremony Saturday morning in the Johnny Mize Athletic Center at the campus in Demorest.
President James F. Mellichamp and Board of Trustees Chairman Thomas A. “Gus” Arrendale III will present diplomas to students earning Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Business Administration, Master of Arts, Master of Arts in Teaching, Education Specialist and Doctor of Education degrees.
The commencement speaker will be Larry A. Peevy, President and Head of School at Tallulah Falls School, a college preparatory institute founded in 1909. Peevy is currently Chairman of the Habersham County Chamber of Commerce and was recently named Habersham Countian of the Year for 2017.
The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
