By B.J. Williams
Hall County authorities have released the name of the victim involved in a shooting incident in northwest Hall County early Sunday morning.

Sheriff's Lt. Scott Ware said authorities were called to a home on Jet-Wright Road around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

Ware said the investigation revealed 25-year-old Thomas McNulty shot his 22-year-old girlfriend Jessica Rusk in the back at the residence.

The girlfriend's father Floyd Rusk, who also lived at the residence, shot and killed McNulty at the scene.

The woman remains hospitalized in stable condition, according to Ware.

Ware said no criminal charges have been filed at this point, but the case remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff's Office and the Hall County District Attorney's Office.
