CLEVELAND — Head baseball coach Mike Croley has announced the addition of Lyric Harrell, Peyton Mitchell, Cody Nix, Justin Pinker and Jake Witherow to the incoming class at Truett McConnell.
Harrell is an infielder that hit .390 with seven doubles and two triples for Praise Academy. His teammate, Pinker, went 8-0 this season with a 1.27 ERA.
Mitchell is a left-handed pitcher and first baseman from Mountain View High School. On the mound, he had 30 strikeouts in 18 innings of work this season.
Nix is from East Jackson High School. The right-handed pitcher finished second in his region in strikeouts and third for ERA. He holds the school record for strikeouts in a single game with 15.
Witherow comes from Cherokee High School where he served as a relief pitcher.
