The North Hall baseball team made history last week, winning its first ever state championship.
The Trojans capped a blazing-hot postseason run that included four straight playoff sweeps with impressive 9-2, 6-5 victories over Pierce County in the Class AAA title series in Savannah.
It was a far cry from how the regular season finished, however, as the Trojans suffered six losses in seven contests to fall into the No. 3 seed from Region 7-AAA. Yet instead of of panicking, North Hall refocused and put together an response that went down in history.
