Haas Automation Foundation makes $15K donation to Lanier Tech scholarship program

The Haas Automation Foundation has donated $15,000 to Lanier Technical College for scholarships for students majoring in the school's Machine Tool Technology program.

Skip Birskovich, Sales Engineer/Phillips Corporation/Jeffreys Division Haas Factory Outlet made the presentation for Haas.

Haas Automation, Inc. makes high precision Computer Numeric Controlled equipment used to make medical parts and parts for NASA.

The Machine Tool Technology Program and the MTT students will see immediate benefits from this donation, according to a posting on the Lanier Tech Website. Lanier Tech's Machine Tool Technology program will use some of the donation to help students receive National Institute for Metalworking Skills certifications. These certifications are sought-after by professionals in the metal working industries, according to the posting.
