Another name is in the ring for Georgia governor after Stacey Evans announced Thursday she has filed paperwork to run.
Evans, a Democrat, was born in Ringgold and has served in the Georgia House of Representatives for Cobb County since 2011. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia and the UGA School of Law.
She and her husband, Andrew, reside in Smyrna with their daughter, Ashley.
She joins Republicans Casey Cagle, Hunter Hill, Brian Kemp and Democrat Stacey Abrams in the race for the governor's seat.
