Free homebuyer's seminar set for Saturday in Gainesville

Gainesville City Councilwoman Barbara Brooks and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties will host a free homebuyer's seminar Saturday.

It will be held at 10:00 at the Fair Street Neighborhood Center.

According to a posting on the city's Facebook page, attendees will be able to find out about downpayment assistance and receive a personal evaluation of their ability to buy a home. Other facets of the home-buying experience expected to be covered include mortgage loans, home inspections, closing a loan and assistance from a real esate agent.
