CLARKESVILLE -- Officials today released photos of the person responsible for last week's armed robbery at the county landfill.
The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its probe of that armed robbery and vehicle theft at the facility on Dicks Hill Parkway outside Mt. Airy at 10:32 Thursday morning.
A heavyset white male in dark clothes with a bandana over his face, armed with a handgun, demanded the cashbox, which contained an undisclosed amount of money, and the keys to the clerk’s white 2010 Kia Forte bearing license plate REJ 5794, according to sheriff's officials. The car, which has a dent in the driver’s side door and a broken radio screen, was taken from the scene.
Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the individual in the surveillance photos is asked to call the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 754-6666.
