Soccer: Knights claim fourth straight region crown with win at Loganville

LOGANVILLE — The faces may change but one thing remains the same: the Johnson boys soccer team is a region champion again.

The Knights defeated Loganville 4-1 on Tuesday in Loganville to claim their fourth straight region title and first in Class AAAAA.

Johnson, which features a number of underclassmen starters, was led by goals from Junior Arellano, Michael Arica, Rigo Campa and Marco Vazquez.

Jonathan Miralrio and David Flores provided assists.

Knights goalkeeper Cooper Bowen produced five saves in goal.

The Knights (13-3, 5-0 Region 8-AAAAA) will wrap their regular season on Thursday with a 5:30 p.m. kickoff against Flowery Branch at Billy Ellis Memorial Stadium in Oakwood
