Six arrested on drug, weapons charges in Rabun County

A search warrant led to the arrest of six people at a Rabun County home Wednesday.
 
The search warrant at 328 Lige Mill Road, Clayton, was conducted by the Rabun County Sheriff's Office and the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office following a three-month investigation.
 
Seized during the search were 27 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a quantity of Alprazolam and oxycodone, along with butane hash oil and a small amount of marijuana, according to ARDEO. Estimated street value of the drugs is $4,000.
 
Also seized by Rabun County deputies during the search were 17 firearms, including one with a removed serial number.
 
Those arrested include:
 
♦ Frank William Elliott, 37, of the home, charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, criminal use of an article with an altered identification mark, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects, possession of a Schedule IV narcotic (Alprazolam), possession of a Schedule I narcotic;
 
 ♦ Donald Franklin Elliott, 64, of the home, charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of drug-related objects, possession of a Schedule IV narcotic (Alprazolam);
 
 ♦ Susan Ellen Elliott, 61, of the home, charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of drug-related objects, possession of a Schedule IV narcotic (Alprazolam);
 
 ♦ Mitchell Lamar Gerrells, 35, of the home, charged with possession of drug-related objects;
 
♦ Sylva Leigh Elliott, 32, of the home, charged with possession of drug-related objects; and
 
 ♦ Adam James Giles, 31, of Dunlap Street, Clayton, charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a Schedule II narcotic (oxycodone) with intent to distribute, and crossing guard lines with drugs without consent of warden or superintendent.

Sheriff's offices in Banks, Habersham, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns and White counties, along with the Georgia Department of Public Safety, Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Georgia National Guard Counter-Drug Task Force comprise the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office.
