McCoy motors to Limited Late Model win at Toccoa

In the second week of competition for the 2017 season at the Georgia’s historic Toccoa Raceway, it was a familiar name in victory lane.

Franklin, North Carolina’s David McCoy added another Toccoa trophy to his shelf Saturday night, as he scored the Limited Late Model victory from the pole.

McCoy held second place starter Randy Nichols at bay around the 5/16 mile clay speedway during the feature. Nichols would have to settle for second place in the end.

Gus Simpson, who won the season opener last week, came home in third, with Wesley English in fourth and Charlie Parker in fifth.

In other action, Adam Smith outdistanced Daniel Wilson to record the victory in the FASTRAK Late Model feature. Cody Pritchett finished in third, with David McCoy in fourth and Taylor Puckett in fifth.

Greg Ivester was the winner in the 602 Sportsman/Hobby feature. Brandon Elliott was second, with James Nash third, Matthew Furgerson fourth and Coltron Stroud fifth.

Rusty Jordon took the victory in the Modified Street feature, with Chad Sellers second, Sterling Helm third, Billy Buffington fourth and Louis Tetreault fifth.

Terry Calhoun was first under the checkered flag to snag the Pro Truck feature win, with Cameron Collett in second and Ralph Anderson in third.

Harley Holden took top honors in the Stock 4 feature. Kevin Kelly, Bobby Rhinehart, Randy Boshears and Shane Elliott rounded out the top five.

In the Stock V8 feature, Ray Foskey held off Hayden Collett to take the victory. Ricky Chamberlain finished in third, with Ricky Jones in fourth and Justin Turner in fifth.

Jackie Holden was the winner in the Front Wheel Drive feature. Justin Reed came home in second, with Calob Nicholson third, Nickoli Holcomb fourth and Brady Hunt fifth.

Toccoa Raceway returns to action on Saturday, March 25 for Military/Veteran Appreciation night.
