Public's help sought solving Royston barn arson

State fire investigators hope the public can help them solve an arson fire that destroyed a hay and cattle barn in Madison County on Sunday, March 19.

Insurance and Safety Fire Commission Ralph Hudgens' office said the 3,000-square-foot barn, built about 30 years ago, was located at 840 Abercrombie Circle, Royston.

Harrison Volunteer Fire Department fire responded to the blaze around 8:50 p.m. Sunday. No cattle were injured.

Hudgens asks anyone with information about the fire to call the Georgia Arson Hotline at (800) 282-5804. Rewards of up to $10,000 are given for information leading to the arrest and conviction of an arsonist. Calls are taken 24 hours a day; callers can choose to remain anonymous.
