Tennis: GHS boys nip Lanier, stay unbeaten in 8-AAAAAA

SUGAR HILL — The Gainesville boys tennis team remained unbeaten in Region 8-AAAAAA play after pulling out a 3-2 victory over Lanier on Monday.

Dylan Pineda clinched the match for the Red Elephants at No. 3 singles with a 7-5, 6-1 in. Gainesville also swept the doubles.

Michael Head and Roan Thompson won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 and Thomas Carter and Max Wuest also took a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles.

Gainesville will close out is region schedule on Tuesday traveling to Habersham Central.
