By Brian Stewart Reporter
Sugar Hill City Council gave its approval this week to a series of 14 paving projects within the city's borders.
(To see a full list of the streets that will be paved, see the list at the end of this article.)
The funding, totaling $450,000, was awarded to Blount Construction, which has offices in Cumming and Marietta; the money comes from the city's general fund, state grant money and local SPLOST money, according to city documents.
"Our plan is to try to repave or resurface roads once every 10 years if we can, just to keep it ahead of the maintenance schedule," said Paul Radford, city manager, when reached by phone.
City leaders will now start drafting the contract with Blount Construction for the finer details of the work.
The work should be completed within three to six months, according to Radford.
