Soccer: Tucker nets late goal to push Lakeview Academy girls past Prince Avenue

GAINESVILLE — Meredith Tucker scored with just 3:40 left to lift the Lakeview Academy girls soccer team to a thrilling 3-2 victory over Prince Avenue Friday night.

Carmen Wagner scored off an assist from Tucker for a 1-0 Lady Lions lead at the half. Esther Suen scored to begin second half off assist from Wagner for a 2-0 lead.

Prince Avenue rallied to tie the game before Tucker netted the game-winner.

The Lady Lions (8-2, 2-0 Region 8-A) have won six straight and next will play host to Towns County on Tuesday.
