The Flowery Branch girls tennis team defeated Buford 4-1 on Tuesday in region play.
The Lady Falcons (11-3, 3-0 Region 8-AAAAA) won at No. 2 and 3 singles and swept the doubles points -- both in three-set matches.
Flowery Branch's Olivia Correa beat Kenzie Walters 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, while Olivia Nance beat Savanna Klem 6-4, 7-5 at No. 3 singles. Meanwhile the Lady Falcons' No. 1 doubles team of Peyton Brick and Kylie McGuire beat Tamia Wayne and Emma Place 4-6, 6-4, 6-2. Marissa Barrett and Brenna Martin also defeated Gabby Benson and Sydney Grothe at No. 2 doubles, 2-6, 6-4, 7-5.
Buford's sole victory went to No. 1 singles player Bailey McCammon, who defeated Annabelle Thomas 7-6, 6-1.
